About

The Department started as a General course in 1963.

Honours course was initiated in 1969.

PG course has been introduced since 2015.

The department provides access to seminar library and computer facilities.

The department conducted 4 seminars during the last four years.

The department encourages students for participation in academic programmes, cultural activities, extension activities and excursion.

The students after passing out can study Post graduation, journalism, library science, or can appear for competitive exams like WBCS, School Service Commission.
