About Department

 

Started as a General course department in 1964.

Honours was introduced in 1987.

The department is equipped with modern up-to-date practical instruments.

Seminars and lectures by eminent scientists are frequently arranged in the department to orient young minds towards taking up research in science as a career.

The department has a digital classroom where teachers use modern audio visual technology oriented teaching method along with conventional ‘chalk and talk’ method.
