About

► Started as a General course department in 1963.

► Honours was introduced in 1979.

► PG course has been introduced since 2015.

► Laboratories are well equipped with modern instruments and are regularly upgraded.

► Faculty members are highly energetic, passionate in teaching, and are actively involved in research.

► 40% of the  students have attained 60% marks in Final Year University exam during the last three years, they pursue Post Graduation and Doctorate in significant numbers.

► At present the Deptal Faculty have four ongoing research projects funded by Govt. agencies, and three projects have been completed during the last 5 years.
